Datuk Mohd Rafiq is the Group Managing Director of Media Prima Berhad, Malaysia's leading integrated media company. He brings a strong track record in digital transformation, strategic leadership, and operational excellence across the media, technology, and telecommunications sectors.

Datuk Mohd Rafiq joined Media Prima in 2016 as the Chief Executive Officer of REV Media Group (formerly Media Prima Digital). He was instrumental in transforming the business, including acquiring a series of key digital assets to significantly expand Media Prima's digital presence. His strategic vision helped consolidate the Group's digital operations, turning REV Media Group into the largest Malaysian digital media entity.

In October 2021, Datuk Mohd Rafiq was appointed Group Managing Director of Media Prima Berhad. Since then, he has focused on driving growth, innovation and sustainability across the company's diverse business segments, including television, radio, print, out-of-home advertising, and digital media. Under Datuk Mohd Rafiq's leadership, Media Prima returned to sustained profitability through strategic transformation and structural reorganisation.

Prior to joining Media Prima, Datuk Mohd Rafiq served as the Country General Manager of Groupon Malaysia, where he played a key role in expanding the e-commerce platform's footprint in Southeast Asia. He later co-founded KFit, a fitness-focused subscription platform that evolved into Fave, a regional digital marketplace that was eventually acquired by a leading international fintech company.

He began his career at Maxis Berhad, where he worked in International Business and Corporate Strategy, gaining valuable experience in telecommunications and cross-border market expansion.

Datuk Mohd Rafiq holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from The Pennsylvania State University, and is an alumnus of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School.

In addition to his corporate roles, Datuk Mohd Rafiq is actively involved in industry development. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Councillors for the Communications and Multimedia Content Forum of Malaysia (CMCF) and is a mentor with Endeavor Malaysia, supporting high-impact entrepreneurs.
